What Kind of Wood Chips Will I Get?
These aren't bagged landscaping chips from a store.
They're fresh chips produced during tree work.
That means the material can vary from one load to another. You may get chips from different types of trees and there can be leaves or smaller pieces of woody material mixed in.
The size won't be perfectly uniform either.
That's normal.
If you're looking for decorative mulch that's been screened and dyed to an exact color, this probably isn't what you want.
If you need actual wood chips, that's a different story.
What Can I Use Wood Chips For?
There are plenty of uses around a property.
Some homeowners spread them on trails or use them around established trees. They can also be useful in certain garden and landscaping areas.
Maybe you've got a muddy path through the woods that could use some material.
Maybe you need to cover a larger area and buying bags of mulch doesn't make much sense.
Wood chips can come in handy.
Just keep in mind that these are fresh chips. What works well for one project may not be the right material for another.
How Much Do You Deliver?
Wood chips take up more space than people expect.
A load isn't a couple bags of mulch.
Before arranging a delivery, make sure you have somewhere for us to put the material and enough room for the amount you're getting.

Where Will the Chips Be Dumped?
This is important.
We need somewhere the truck can safely get to and unload.
A wide-open driveway is pretty straightforward. A narrow path behind the house probably isn't.
Soft ground can be an issue too.
Remember, we're bringing in a truck carrying a load of wood chips. We don't want to tear up your yard trying to squeeze into a spot the truck shouldn't be in.
We'll need to know where you want them before delivery.
Are Wood Chips Always Available?
Not necessarily.
Our supply depends on the tree work we're doing.
Some weeks we may have a lot. Other times there may not be a load available when you call.
The type of chips can change too because we're working with whatever trees are coming off current jobs.
If you need chips by a specific date, contact us ahead of time.
We'll let you know what we have.
Can I Request a Certain Type of Wood?
Ask us, but we can't promise it.
We're not producing wood chips from one specific species for retail sale. The material comes from the tree work we're already doing.
One load might be different from the next.
If your project requires a very specific type of wood chip, let us know before arranging delivery.
Wood Chips From Local Tree Work
A lot of material comes out of a tree.
Branches that can't be used as firewood are commonly run through the chipper during cleanup. That leaves us with a truck full of chips that still have plenty of uses.
We'd rather see them go somewhere useful.
If you're already having tree removal or tree trimming done on your property, you can also ask whether some of the chips from your job can be left behind.
Just mention it before we haul everything away.

We can't always guarantee a particular species. What we have depends on the tree work we're doing at the time.
How much space do I need for a delivery?
You'll need enough room for the load itself and safe access for the truck. Tell us where you'd like the chips dumped before delivery so we can make sure the location will work.
Can you dump wood chips in my backyard?
That depends on access. We need to safely get the truck to the dumping location without damaging the property or getting into a spot we can't get back out of.
